A carefully restored 19th century farmstead, the Demory-Wortman house serves as a wonderful location for weddings, seminars, and vacation rentals. The house features a modern kitchen, large living room, and five bedrooms. Enjoy the scenic views of Mountain View Farm from the house grounds or one of the porches off the second floor bedrooms.
The original house, built in 1848, was a two-story log cabin showing considerable German influence typical of the time period. Sometime around 1900 a major addition was added to the original log house and the logs were enclosed. The Demory-Wortman House has been nicely renovated by the Blue Ridge Center and is outfitted with comfortable, rustic furnishings.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the kayaking, rafting, fishing, tubing, mountain biking, and hiking options are endless within 5 miles of the house. The C&O canal biking/hiking trail and Potomac River can be accessed within 3 miles of the property.
