Hike & Letter Boxing Event

Nestled at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in western Loudoun County, Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship is a place where “nature, history and farming converge to reveal the connections between people and the natural world.” Come hike the many trails whilst observing nature, learning about history and looking for treasure: letter-boxing! Be sure to bring your walking stick, binoculars, refillable water bottle/canteen and of course, a personal stamp for the letterboxing activity. (more info on this will be emailed to all registered participants)

When: Sunday, November 13th, 2011.  “Assigned” hike departures every 30 minutes, from 8am to 3pm.

 Where: Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship, 11661 Harpers Ferry Rd, Purcellville, VA 20132

Who: All registered Girl Scouts & Registered Adults/Volunteers

Cost:  $5.00 per hiker - Includes: snack & refreshment vouchers, trail map, nature game and letter-boxing passport!
