The Center for Wilderness Safety is offering

 Wilderness First Aid (WFA) training

at the BRCES

Apr. 6-7 (8am-6:30pm both days)

Course Overview: Wilderness First Aid is an introductory 16-hour course which focuses heavily on the difference between urban and wilderness medicine, patient assessment, and how to manage both life-threatening and common emergencies encountered in the backcountry.

 

This course is strongly recommended for outdoor enthusiasts, Scouts and leaders, as well as outdoor professionals alike. This course is taught over two days (typically a weekend).

 

Meals:  Meals are not included in this course. There are several restaurants and grocery stores nearby within driving distance. Students are encouraged to pack a lunch with them each day. There are plenty of coffee breaks throughout the course, and an hour is given for lunch each day.
