  The Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship will be a part of this year's 22nd annual Leesburg Flower & Garden Festival.  Stop by and see us at our table.

  Historic Leesburg will once again be in full bloom as lush landscapes and gorgeous gardens fill the streets.

  On April 21 and 22, 2012 over 150 vendors will be on display featuring landscape designs, gardening supplies, outdoor living items, plants, flowers, herbs and so much more! Stroll through the streets and take in the sights and sounds of spring-time. Whether its gathering ideas for your new outdoor patio, stocking up on gardening supplies, or searching for a perfect gift for the avid gardener in your life- this event will have something for everyone!

  The event runs from  10:00am – 6:00pm on Saturday, April 21,  and 10:00am- 5:00pm on Sunday, April 22.

  BIRDING the BLUE RIDGE CENTER.  On the fourth Saturday of each month (except December), the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy (LWC)  leads a free bird walk at the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship (BRCES). This beautiful 900-acre preserve is located on Harpers Ferry Road, Rte 671, in northwestern Loudoun County. Only a few miles south of Harpers Ferry and the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers, the property includes meadows in the valley and heavily forested slopes on the Blue Ridge.   Saturday, September 22, 2012 - 9:00am start time.  Pre-Registration required. 

  The Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship (BRCES) has registered (for the 5^th year) to be a part of the National Public Lands Day (NPLD) [www.publiclandsday.org] event on September 22, 2012.  NPLD is a national day of caring for the land, a coast-to-coast effort to improve and enhance our treasured lands.  We are currently seeking volunteers for this event to help with projects such as: trail maintenance, clearing brush & debris, collecting native seed, as well as building, maintaining, and/or repairing bridges and footpaths.  All projects start at 9:00 a.m.  There is no time commitment required and all ages are welcomed.  You decide which project and how much time you want to volunteer.  Pre-registration is required.  Please contact Darlene Lamoureux, [email protected], 540-668-7640.  We will meet at the BRCES Education Center at 9am on day of event.
