Blue Ridge Press
Blue Ridge Press is a syndicated column service that develops and distributes commentary on issues affecting communities from the Southern Appalachians to the shores of the Atlantic.
Columnists in this unique writers' group are independent writers, journalists, scientists, and others. Experts in their fields and engaged citizens as well, they offer original commentary on our fast-changing region. The role of the Robert and Dee Leggett Foundation is to provide administrative and distribution services to ensure that new ideas and clear voices emerge.
Blue Ridge Press columns are about the places, people, and issues familiar to newspaper readers in the Southeast. They address local and regional concerns, ranging from wilderness preservation along the Blue Ridge to water quality issues on the coast, to the struggles between smart growth and sprawl on the edge of every city in the region.
