Taste of Two Rivers Region
"Taste of Two Rivers Region" is a series of fabulous fundraising feasts, all hosted by individuals and businesses who want to support education in the arts and environment. Here's how it works: Each host picks a theme for their meal, determines their menu, selects a location (maybe their own house or backyard, or perhaps a CraftWorks or Blue Ridge facility), decides how many people to accommodate, and then buys and prepares the food.
Good friends, good food, great cause! Take a look below for the Blue Ridge Center's Taste of Two Rivers Region events. You can buy tickets to all the events right here.
Saturday, May 14 – Founders’ Luncheon and Blue Ridge Hike
In 1999, Bob and Dee Leggett discovered the 894-acre Mountain View Farm, a beautiful piece of land on the slopes of the Blue Ridge in northwestern Virginia. Soon thereafter, the Robert and Dee Leggett Foundation bought the property and founded the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship. Come celebrate the accomplishments of the Center and talk with the founders about their vision for the future. After lunch you’ll enjoy a hike on the property with Bob and Dee. Menu: Make-your-own-sandwich platter featuring fresh-baked breads with deli meats and cheeses; hot spinach and artichoke dip with crackers; fresh fruit; and homemade brownies.
