Scientific and Natural Stewardship

The Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship is committed to supporting the study of local natural and cultural resources.

For that reason, the Blue Ridge Center's efforts in environmental stewardship begin in our own backyard — our land. We are currently conducting extensive inventories of our land. Through these studies we hope to:

• Discover the special character of our land in order to become better stewards.
• Develop responsible land-use plans.
• Implement effective restoration and preservation efforts.
